Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) has a professional and dedicated staff to service any project and is committed to accurate results in a timely manner. Most members of our staff are long-time employees, while others add their special expertise to our growing team. Our staff is rich with experience, qualifications, education and is focused on our single goal of total customer satisfaction.

Eduardo Freire, P.E., President - (contact Ed)

Mr. Freire is in charge of the overall supervision and management of Craig Testing Laboratories and its staff. Mr. Freire earned his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Villanova University, in Pennsylvania and his Masters of Science (M.S.) in Geothechnical Engineering from the University of Wales.

Mr. Freire is a registered professional engineer in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Freire is also certified as a DCA Licensed Special Inspector in Reinforced Concrete, Pre-Stressed Concrete, Structural Masonry, Structural Bolting, Sturctural Welding, Fireproofing and EIFS

As the company senior professional engineer, he is responsible for the technical and professional direction of the company. He provides overall supervision of CTL's inspection, engineering, laboratory and sales departments.

Ian Craig, Vice President of Construction Services - (contact Ian)

Mr. Ian Craig is a graduate of Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Maryland with a BS in Marketing & Management. As Vice President of Construction Services his responsibilities include supervision of the construction testing and inspection division of the company, direct supervision of laboratory and field inspectors and technicians, daily communication with clients and staff as company liaison for our testing and inspection division. Other Duties include report review, report writing, preparation of invoices and specification review.

Mr. Craig is a NJDCA Licensed Special Inspector in Reinforced Concrete and Concrete Placement, a F.A.A. Certified Asphalt Inspector, a Troxler Nuclear Densometer Certified Soils Inspector, an American Concrete Institute Certified Concrete Field Inspector, an American Concrete Institute Certified Laboratory Testing Technician (Level I & II), an American Concrete Institute Certified Strength Testing Technicain, an American Concrete Institute Certified Aggregate Testing Technician, an American Concrete Institute Certified Flatwork Technician, a National Concrete Masonry Association Certified Concrete Masonry Testing Technician, a New Jersey Certified Asphalt Plant Technician (Level I & II) and a Certified Face Company Floor Flatness/Floor Levelness Inspector. Ian is also the company’s Radiation Safety Officer.

Robert J. Campbell, Sales Executive- (contact Bob)

Mr. Campbell has an Associates degree in Science from Thomas Edison College, New Jersey. Mr. Campbell has over 15 years of experience in construction testing and inspection. As Sales Executive his responsibilities include preparation of bids and the management of client relationships.

Mr. Campbell is a former Mayor of Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey, is currently and/or has previously served in numerous municipal capacities including planning, zoning, municipal administration and on municipal public works projects. Mr. Campbell retired from the United States Naval Reserves after a distinguished thirty-year career. Mr. Campbell is also a member of many professional, municipal, and veteran’s associations.

Vanessa Holman - Sales Associate (contact Vanessa)

Ms. Holman has a bachelor's degree in Communications and minor degrees in Business Studies and Writing from the Richard Stockton College in Pomona, New Jersey

Ms. Holman has over four (4+) years of sales experience, and is currently serving as Sales Associate, providing customer relations, producing quotations and assisting with marketing development. She transitioned from part-time to full-time in May 2011

Chris Budesa, P.E. - Senior Geotechnical Engineer  (contact Chris)

Mr. Budesa has over nine (9+) years of engineering experience and currently serves as our Senior Geotechnical Engineer. He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Budesa is a registered professional engineer in New Jersey. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Budesa is also certified as a DCA Licensed Special Inspector in Reinforced Concrete, Pre-Stressed Concrete, Structural Masonry, Structural Bolting, Structural Welding, Fireproofing and EIFS

Mr. Budesa prepares geotechnical engineering reports and consulting reports, performs on-site inspections and supervises the engineering division staff work including subsurface investigations, field inspections for shallow and deep foundation construction and geotechnical field testing.

Stan Wojciechowski, P.E - Senior Engineer / Project Manager  (contact Stan)

Stan Wojciechowski, PE, CME, Senior Engineer, provides engineering support for projects.  He reviews specifications, plans and reports and helps field and lab staff with interpretations for testing requirements.  He also provides professional engineering oversight of the inspection and testing process to ensure conformance with project requirements.  Stan preforms field inspections, when required, in order to provide a hands on experience with both the inspectors and clients.  Stan also reviews the inspection reports periodically throughout the construction activities, and provide final inspection certifications, when required.

Stan graduated with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University College of Engineering in 1988.  He began working with A-Tech in Vineland, NJ as a Civil Engineer in 1989, and worked with various civil engineering firms in project management, design and construction engineering capacity until 2008.  Stan joined Craig Testing Laboratories in January 2009, where he began his current duties as Senior Engineer & Project Manager, monitoring construction inspection and material testing projects.

George Dib - Project Manager (contact George)

Mr. Dib has over twenty five (25+) years of engineering and project management experience and currently serves as Project Manager of our Construction Services Division. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology and a Diploma in Project Management Principals I & II. 

Having been with the company since June 2010, Mr. Dib has gained specific project experience in numerous projects, such as, Bayonne Energy Center in Bayonne New Jersey, Howard Down Generating Station, Vineland New Jersey, Brigantine Beach Community Center in Brigantine New Jersey, Rite Aid Corporation in Langhorne Pennsylvania and Multiple South Jersey Gas Projects, across New Jersey.

John Specht - Materials Laboratory Supervisor (contact John)

Mr. John Specht is the Materials Laboratory Manager for Craig Testing Laboratories, his duties include oversight of the Aggregate, Concrete and Asphalt Laboratories.  John also oversees the core drilling operations, ferroscan (rebar detection) inspections, floor flatness and pavement smoothness (rideability) inspections.  John has been a part of Craig Testing Laboratories since 2002.

John holds certifications as NJDCA Concrete Placement Inspector, NJSAT Level I & II Asphalt Plant Technician, ACI Concrete Field Inspector, ACI Aggregate Testing Technician, FACE Floor Flatness Inspector and Troxler Soils Inspector.

Renee Norcross - Geotechnical Laboratory Supervisor(contact Renee)

Mrs. Renee’ Norcross is a graduate of The Richard Stockton College of NJ with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Civil Engineering with a Concentration in Geotechnical Engineering from North Carolina State University.

She oversees the daily operations of the Geotechnical Laboratory and performs engineering field testing including in-place CBRs, percolation, quality assurance for deep foundation installations, vibration monitoring and geotechnical site investigations.

Mrs. Norcross has been with Craig Testing Laboratories since 2004 and is a Certified Pile Inspector-National Highway Institute and South Jersey Chemical Manufacturers Council Safety Certified.
