Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) provides field soils inspection services to monitor the placement and the compaction of the soil being used for fill and backfilling operations per the approved geotechnical engineering report, specification(s) and/or project documents, using a Nuclear Moisture-Density Meter.
The Nuclear Moisture-Density Meter enables an inspector to provide field moisture and density results as work progresses with an established laboratory control curve (proctor).
Our AMRL & US Army Corp accredited laboratory can perform the required laboratory control curves (proctors) per ASTM or AASHTO standards along with other laboratory testing such as gradation (sieve analysis), Atterber Limits, chemical analysis and classification.
Our inspectors can also provide shallow foundation (spread footing) bottom inspections as required by the geotechnical engineering report to verify the soil allowable bearing capacity.
