 The requirements of bituminous concrete inspection and testing
vary
from state to state. We have an entire division dedicated to the
testing
of bituminous concrete.
Samples of the hardened asphalt are drilled in place and returned
to our
laboratory where we test the material for the proper thickness,
density,
void content and composition. We also perform inspections of
bituminous concrete at the plant, during production of the material,
to insure
the approved mix is shipped to the job site. Once on-site, we
can perform
thickness, temperature, and non-destructive density tests to
insure proper installation. |
