Vibration Monitoring
Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) can provide vibration monitoring for pre-construction and during construction activites and expertise consultation. Pre and post construction surveys of nearby and adjacent structures can also be provided.
Vibration Monitoring can be used on many different types of projects such as blasting, demolition, pile driving, traffic studies, rolling equipment and compactors, dynamic compaction, and mechanical equipment.
CTL uses the latest technology for vibration monitoring operations including the Vibratech Everlert III and Multiseis Plus units.

Rebar Detection (Ferroscan)
Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) is proud to announce our new detection services. The NDT team at CTL can help you locate and map the position of ferrous materials, including reinforcement, Post-Tensioned (PT) cable, conduit, and other near-surface embedments in concrete structures. CTL uses the latest technology from Hilti to solve this difficult construction problem. The Hilti PS 200 Ferroscan is a portable device designed to provide accurate on-site rebar location, depth and rebar diameter. This service can be used to determine the rebar condition for existing and new concrete structures, for post-construction analysis and to perform concrete cores without cutting rebar, cables, conduit or other ferrous embedments.

Maturity / Temperature Logging
Maturity loggers provide real-time concrete strength
Based on ASTM C 1074 "Standard Practice for Estimating Concrete Strength by the Maturity Method", intelliRock Maturity Loggers analyze the time and temperature profile of in-place concrete to calculate the in-place strength of concrete in real-time – with the push of a button.
The theory behind the maturity method is simple. Warmer concrete temperatures result in a higher rate of hydration (and therefore more rapid strength gain), and colder concrete hydrates more slowly. Data reported by the intelliRock maturity loggers along with a calibration graph generated from reference cylinders gives a convenient measure of in-place concrete strength.
CTL has extensive experience with installing, monitoring and interpreting data from maturity loggers at concrete jobs of all sizes.

Floor Moisture (MVET)
Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) provides moisture vapor emission rate testing services on uncovered concrete slab (floor) to test for the amount of moisture vapor that is passing through the concrete. This test does not measure humidity. The test provides results that are used in selecting suitable concrete covering such as carpet, tiles, epoxy, etc. that can tolerate the moisture vapor values. Our technician will place moisture measuring testing devices on the concrete slab for test duration time of 60 to 72 hours and pick them up after the test in accordance with ASTM-1869.

Welder Qualification
Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) provides welder qualification services for welders that need to be qualified for welding processes per the American Welding Society (AWS) D 1.1 Standard. Our structural steel inspectors provide inspection of the welder at the fabrication shop or job site while performing the requested welding process(es) on coupons. The coupons and then cut into specimens which are then bent along the weld. The bent weld is visually inspected for defects and quality. If the welder passes the qualification process then a Welder and Welding Operator Qualification Test Record(s) are completed and issued to the client for their review and final approval of the welder per AWS procedures.
