Reinforced Structural Concrete:
Craig Testing Laboratories (CTL) provides reinforcing steel inspection services prior to the placement of the concrete to ensure that the reinforcement (rebar) is the proper size, is lapped the appropriate length, that the spacing and clearances are per the contract documents and that all bends and embedments are as detailed and the structural member is of the correct dimensions.
Concrete Placement:
CTL provides concrete placement inspection services during the placement of concrete to ensure that the approved mix is being placed, that the concrete is within the specified tolerances for slump, air content and temperature. CTL will also cast concrete specimens for laboratory testing for compressive or flexural (tension) strength determination.
Structural Masonry:
CTL provides structural masonry inspection services during the erection of the structural and non-structural masonry walls and will ensure that all horizontal and vertical reinforcing steel is in place as required, inspectiors will also inspect the mortar and grout to ensure that it is being mixed and placed properly and that all cells are grouted solid when required. CTL will also cast mortar and grout mixture specimens for laboratory testing for compressive strength.
