Our Company
Founded in New Jersey in 1968, Craig Testing Laboratories, Inc.
(CTL) provides services for all
phases of physical and chemical testing of soil, steel, masonry
and concrete, as well as many other specialty services. We currently
employ 50 inspectors who
perform field inspections on a daily basis, a staff of professional engineers
and 10 full-time laboratory technicians.
CTL has access to one of the most comprehensive test boring
companies in the Northeast, Craig
Test Boring, complete
with modern drilling rigs and experienced crews. They currently
have a modern fleet of
15 truck, skid-mounted and
all terrain drill rigs. They also just recently purchased a Vacmaster 4000,
which is used to locate utilities through the use of high pressure air and/or
water, known as subsurface utility engineering (SUE) or soft digging.
In addition, CTL houses a materials testing laboratory and
provides complete field testing and inspection services. Mobile
testing laboratory units are available where job conditions warrant.
We currently serve clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and
Delaware.
Our facilities are fully equipped and self-sufficient with
professional staff to meet the requirements of each project.
CTL is inspected by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology through AASHTO and the Cement and Concrete Reference
Laboratory Programs along with the United States Army Corps of
Engineers. We are
also approved by the various Departments of Transportations in the states listed
above.

CTL maintains:
- 29 calibrated nuclear densometers
- 25 certified Troxler Technicians
- 30 ACI Certified inspectors
- over 100 pieces of other certified equipment
